Helvar secures largest contract in 100+ year history in Türkiye

Helvar Oy Ab has officially announced the signing of the largest contract in the company’s 105-year history. The landmark agreement was signed with Rönesans, one of Türkiye’s foremost construction companies, and leverages the deep local expertise of Helvar’s Premier Partner, Elekon Energy Systems, for an extensive high-security government project spanning approximately 2 million sqm.

The contract signifies Helvar’s continued expansion in the strategic Turkish market. This new undertaking builds upon an established track record in the country, including monumental projects such as Istanbul Airport (one of the world’s largest DALI implementations), Başakşehir Çam & Sakura Şehir Hastanesi (Türkiye’s largest hospital), and Galataport (the world’s first underground cruise terminal). The signing ceremony was held in Ankara, Türkiye, with Helvar CEO Kim Långström; Safak Koc, General Director of Elekon Energy Systems; Pirkko Hämäläinen, Head of Mission and Finland’s Ambassador to Türkiye; and Nilufer Alapinar, Senior Advisor and Assistant Trade Commissioner for Business Finland.
