Marking six decades of progress, Tridonic UK celebrates the people, partnerships and innovations that have shaped its history, while looking ahead to a future built on collaboration and connected technologies.
Tridonic UK has celebrated its 60th anniversary, recognising the people, partnerships and technological developments that have shaped the business since its establishment in 1966, while reaffirming a commitment to innovation and collaboration for the future.
A special anniversary evening at Haberdashers’ Hall in London on Thursday 22nd of October brought together customers, partners, colleagues and friends, alongside members of Tridonic’s global leadership team, to reflect on six decades of achievements, celebrate long-standing relationships and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
The choice of venue was particularly fitting, with Haberdashers’ Hall itself a Tridonic project, where the company’s technology controls the lighting, providing a real-world example of its expertise in action.
The evening also featured addresses from Alfred Felder, former CEO of the Zumtobel Group and Tridonic, and Saurabh Pandhi, Tridonic’s new CEO, bringing both a historical and forward-looking perspective to the celebrations.

The occasion provided an opportunity to recognise the dedication and long service of employees, the loyalty of customers and the strength of partnerships built across the lighting industry over the past 60 years.
Complementing this reflection on the company’s heritage, Tridonic’s recent ‘Talking Buildings’ event, held earlier in October at London’s Business Design Centre, focused on the future of building technology. Bringing together industry experts and partners, the event explored how connected lighting, intelligent building systems and greater collaboration between technologies can help shape more efficient, responsive and sustainable buildings.
Together, the two occasions highlighted the values that have remained central to Tridonic UK’s success. From the company’s early beginnings in magnetic control gear through to today’s advanced LED drivers, intelligent lighting controls and digital services, Tridonic have continued to evolve alongside the industry, supported by a commitment to innovation, technical expertise and, above all, strong relationships and collaboration.
Richard Strode, Managing Director of Tridonic UK, commented, “Reaching 60 years is an incredibly proud moment for everyone associated with Tridonic UK, but what makes this milestone particularly special is the people behind it. We have colleagues who have dedicated many years of their careers to the business, customers who have worked with us for decades and partners who have played an important role in our development.

Those relationships are built on trust, commitment and a shared willingness to embrace change. Technology has evolved enormously over the past 60 years, and it will continue to do so, but the importance of people working together has never changed.
As we look ahead, collaboration will be more important than ever. The opportunities facing our industry extend far beyond lighting, and by bringing together different technologies, expertise and perspectives, we can deliver something far greater than any one business could achieve alone.”
