Smart Buildings Show once again welcomed a huge attendance as it returned to ExCeL London on 18th-19th October 2023, welcoming many visitors and industry-renowned exhibitors.

A stream of more than 2,000 visitors flowed through the exhibition hall and attended presentations from over 70 speakers. Not only did the leading tradeshow for the smart buildings industry provide an array of over 80 smart building exhibitor stands showcasing latest technology products to energy saving project solutions, it also delivered some inspiring seminars covering current and trending topics, such as the AI approach, digitalisation of your smart home, decarbonisation and net zero.

Feedback from the exhibitors was extremely positive, with the event described as “a very well organised show with a coherent marketing plan,” by Rachael Duckworth of Beckhoff.

Steve Parker from Trend commented, “It’s a great show – just like last year. Visitors are more targeted than other shows and we get plenty of great leads. One of the best.”

Stacey Lucas from Sontay added, “Our stand was extremely busy, which is an indication of the popularity and potential of the smart buildings sector.”

Catherine Walker from the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) highlighted the Show’s relevance to the organisation, saying: “Some of the leading names in smart buildings technology were in attendance with strong interest in what BCIA is doing to drive forward the industry and its people. As the unified voice for the sector, we are committed to returning next year to optimise the opportunity Smart Buildings Show gives us.”

Claire Hatchett, Sales Manager at Smart Buildings Show, has already seen a strong rebook for next year’s event. She said: “The show is going from strength to strength and many companies are taking advantage of the early bird rate for next year’s show. I encourage companies that are thinking of booking to contact me as soon as possible in order to get the stand position that they want.”

Ian Garmeson, Event Director, commented: “Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Smart Buildings Show, we hope it was a worthwhile experience. The outstanding effort from our exhibitors, speakers and sponsors is reflected in our repeated high attendances which really underline the importance of smart buildings today.”
