The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will celebrate its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of connecting industry professionals and inspiring lighting innovation. To commemorate this milestone, GILE is launching the “illuminnovation lab”, a platform designed to foster collaboration and unite various stakeholders. The lab will facilitate exploration of lighting technology integration across multiple fields, uncovering new possibilities and driving growth in the industry.

GILE 2025, themed “Light for Life”, will be held from 9th – 12th June in Areas A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The exhibition will take place concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT), covering a total area of 250,000 sqm, and featuring 3,188 exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in lighting. This year’s focus is on “Light-enhanced Living”, examining diverse lighting applications across various sectors.

Each hall is dedicated to a distinct theme: Hall 6.1 will reflect the show’s theme “Light for Life”, highlighting innovative lighting applications in daily life. Hall 8.1 focuses on visual displays in cultural tourism, demonstrating how lighting enhances the appeal of this sector. Hall 3.2 explores advanced applications of light in smart agriculture, while Hall 9.2 features intelligent lighting and health ecosystems, addressing the impact of light on human health and related intelligent solutions. Hall 10.1 includes the Trendy Living Home Lighting Design Hall and the Luce e Design Aesthetic Design Hall, setting the trends in home lighting design.

In addition, Halls 1.1 to 5.1 and 7.1 will feature lighting solutions for urban and architectural spaces as well as cultural and tourism spaces, which cover architectural, road, and landscape lighting. Halls 1.2 to 4.2 will showcase new-quality lighting products and technologies, including equipment, materials, lighting accessories, electronic components, chips, packaging, modules, full-spectrum solutions, and power drive technologies. Halls 9.1, 10.2 to 11.2, 9.3 to 10.3, and 11.1 to 13.1, will focus on innovations in commercial and home lighting, introducing products and concepts related to lighting sources, intelligent lighting, and decorative design.

Through this comprehensive and detailed exhibition plan, GILE aims to create an integrated platform for display, communication, and collaboration, helping the lighting industry advance into a new stage of development.

Launch of “illuminnovation lab”: A new era of light-enhanced living
In April, GILE and Guangzhou Alighting IoT & Technology Co Ltd launched the “illuminnovation lab” with an event in Zhongshan, China, themed “Lifestyle Aesthetics and Trendy Spaces”, focusing on lighting aesthetics and custom lighting concepts. In May, the second event, “Good House, Good Lighting”, explored health-focused “lighting formulas” and emotional “lighting values”.

GILE will host over 100 exclusive sessions, offering opportunities for the lighting industry to expand and integrate resources across trade, design, e-commerce, branding, and international outreach. These events are organised into five main categories, fostering innovation and collaboration.
