British lighting manufacturer Original BTC introduces a revitalised brand identity and online user experience, reinforcing its commitment to craftsmanship while embracing the evolving needs of the modern, international market. The refined aesthetic reflects the company’s enduring quality and continued relevance in contemporary spaces.

The rebrand aligns Original BTC’s identity with the intrinsic warmth of its signature lighting. Beloved for fostering considered, inviting environments, each fixture is designed to add timeless depth to every space, combining architectural form and modern ease. The updated aesthetic reflects the same sentiment, reinforcing the brand’s core values of warmth, craft and quiet sophistication.

Drawing inspiration from Original BTC’s design and manufacturing legacy, the updated logo takes cues from a heritage English industrial font of the 50s. A secondary logo depicts the abbreviated “O.BTC” moniker in an ode to the contemporary nickname that longtime fans have coined in reference to the brand. This nod to the old and new encapsulates the impetus for the rebrand and Original BTC’s mission for the coming years.

“As we continue expanding across international markets and exploring new avenues for collaboration, we saw an opportunity to evolve our branding approach,” says Original BTC Director Charlie Bowles. “We wanted to stay true to our history as a family-run and operated business, but also reflect the forward-thinking approach we’ve honed along the way.”

Original BTC unveiled its refreshed branding at Euroluce during this year’s Milan Design Week, giving its brand loyalists and passionate design aficionados a firsthand look at its evolution. Rolling out with a series of new product launches, the updated identity strikes a thoughtful balance that honours the brand’s legacy alongside its latest innovations. The presentation and reception underscore the enduring relevance of timeless craftsmanship in the present design landscape.

The revamped visual identity debuts alongside an optimised website designed to enhance the customer experience with a streamlined interface and inspiring new visuals. Revived lifestyle photography depicts the company’s signature offerings in new modern settings, inviting designers and homeowners to reimagine the possibilities of their most beloved fixtures.

Following the opening of its Munich showroom in 2024, Original BTC continues to expand its reach across Europe, Asia, and North America, establishing itself as an aspirational and trusted lighting brand for interior designers and homeowners alike. This brand refresh will target its existing customer base and appeal to a growing audience that values craft fixtures.
