Following its formation in 2019, 3LR has enjoyed an incredibly successful few years as a architectural manufacturer’s representative for ETC – becoming the first rep outside of North America and showcasing ETC’s pioneering architectural range to its diverse customer base. Throughout the years, and as a result of the 3LR team’s decades of experience and expertise, the company has regularly been asked to take on a bigger role within the projects it’s worked on, whether that’s lighting design, project management, consultancy, system design and much more. As such, whilst the company will remain a committed partner, it is now making the move away from its representative role to becoming a full ETC dealer and will focus on offering its client base the technical expertise they demand.

From today, the company will be offering its customers two distinct lighting solution services: 3LR Lighting Professional Services and 3LR Projects.

Driven by the company’s founding passion of ‘lighting by emotion’, Professional Services will allow 3LR to help every client experience the full impact of light and how to control it. Whether it’s a traditional theatre auditorium, a heritage building, a maritime project, a residential space or even a live event, 3LR is able to offer any type of lighting, production lighting control, moving lights, DiaLUX visualisations, specialist consultancy and much more. These services are ones which 3LR has already been offering for years, with recent clients including the Royal Albert Hall, The Sphere in Las Vegas, Southbank Centre, National Theatre and the Royal Ballet and Opera House.

With 3LR Projects, this has been formed with the aim of 3LR being a trusted partner when it comes to the delivery of any project. From the moment of conception all the way through to final delivery, 3LR will be the driving force ensuring that any project is delivered on-time, on-budget and matching the client’s exacting requirements. Similarly, 3LR is able to join a project at any stage and, if needed, focus on one particular area. The company has already supplied its project services on the Royal Festival Hall LED upgrade earlier this year and has just overseen the full commissioning of the lighting technology within a brand-new presentation suite at Mastercard’s European Technology Hub.

3LR Lighting’s Founder and Managing Director Matt Lloyd comments: “This is a really exciting new chapter in 3LR’s history – and one which is completely organic. Our mission as a company has always been to offer our brilliant clients the most effective lighting solutions possible. As more and more have been asking for both our professional services, as well as to oversee their projects, it felt natural that we now should refocus our direction and give them precisely what they need from us.”

He adds: “We’ve already been entrusted by internationally renowned venues and organisations such as the National Theatre, Mastercard, Convene, KPMG and The Southbank Centre – all drawing on our unique set of skills and commitment to ensuring the lighting and control within their spaces has the greatest emotional impact. Moving forward, we look forward to continuing sharing these services with as many of our clients as possible”.
