Our client, a well established lighting SME, is expanding again and seeking a lighting sales professional experienced in selling to M&E contractors throughout London & South East.

You will be selling mid to high end lighting solutions to contractors on D&B projects and various applications from commercial fit outs to residential, education and healthcare applications. The Company has a lot of existing and repeat business built up through long standing relationships and an all encompassing service offering high quality solutions at competitive prices and project management support throughout the contract. Expansion has created this exciting opportunity with a well-established £multi-million distributor of leading lighting brands that offer an excellent service of quality products but also a bespoke/ custom solution to suit the requirements. You will be selling a range of lighting components including optics, heatsinks, light sources and drivers throughout the UK managing existing customers and developing new business with lighting OEM accounts The role ideally requires strong sales skills for components and the development of LED product solutions for OEMs. You should be competent technically and able to add value to the customers offering a bespoke and tailored solution – not just selling a product range. Technical Manager – Lighting Solutions

£45,000 – £50,000 basic + benefits

Our client, a well established manufacturer and supplier of commercial/ architectural lighting products, is seeking an experienced professional manager to oversee all technical aspects of the business and manage/ influence current and future innovations.

Within this cash rich, £m/m Company your responsibilities will include maintaining and updating the technical library for all products sold including up to date LDT files, compliance, CE marking, WEEE requirements, internal and external testing data. You will look at ways of manufacturing faster and better by reviewing latest machinery, quality of components and their sourcing, improving quality of products and ease of installation for the contractors. You will also keep up to date with changes in legislation and market trends, new technologies and advancements in all aspects of product development. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical manager within the lighting industry, you should have a good understanding of the manufacturing process (ideally CAD qualified), have the necessary experience and knowledge to be the technical mainstay of the business but also passionate and enthusiastic to further develop this position and responsibilities. Our client, widely regarded as one of the pioneers in the industrial power supplies industry, is seeking a proactive business development manager to focus on selling AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters into the OEM sector throughout the Midlands region.

This represents a dual role of managing the existing business whilst proactively seeking out new sectors – selling in at technical manager, design manager level within a diverse range of OEMs from electronics, lighting, rail to white goods, defence, marine and medical. You will be selling a quality range of standard, custom and bespoke solutions into this sector requiring good basic technical understanding and awareness of the applications coupled with the ability to seek out and develop new business as well.

You will be selling a comprehensive range of well engineered technical lighting products plus the ability to offer additional services such as installation, controls, financing: turnkey solutions for the end users. The target sector could include automotive, food, engineering, pharmaceutical, petrochem, distribution and transport via facility managers, property developers, main line contractors, occupiers and estates managers. Our Client, a long established, well respected manufacturer of Lamps and Luminaires, is looking for a dynamic and professional Area Sales Manager to cover their East & West Midlands, and Northern Home Counties area. You will be selling a range of quality lamps and luminaires into primarily the electrical wholesalers in the area, managing existing accounts, whilst bringing new clients on board.

The ideal candidate will be selling lighting or electrical products into electrical wholesalers, or from an electrical wholesaler looking to make the move to a manufacturer. This is a 12 month contract position, with the possibility of becoming permanent, subject to performance.
