Celebrating 20 colourful years
Trailblazing architectural LED lighting manufacturer, Tryka celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. They plan to do it in style with the launch of a long awaited new website and will be taking ‘Tryka on Tour’ attending and hosting events around the globe which will culminate in a big celebration party in November at LiGHT22, London, UK.
Founded in 2002, Tryka quickly set the bar for architectural lighting solutions. As the first company to develop and launch a successful high-power architectural LED range, it has over 7,500 projects in every corner of the globe, with single project values reaching up to £5 million and growing. Its range of standard and custom solutions are found in all manner of applications.
Tryka’s twenty-year journey consists of many firsts. A few highlights include:

- 2005 – One of the first integrators of PAM technology
- 2006 – Launched the world’s first luminaire system powered via RJ45 ethernet cable connections
- 2011 – Launched one of the first flexible linear LED tapes manufactured in the UK

I’m immensely proud of our achievements and thank all of our stakeholders across the world for their continued support.”
The company’s legendary list of completed projects includes illuminating the FIFA Globe for the 2006 World Cup, major London landmarks such as Trafalgar Square fountains and Tower Bridge Walkways, seven towers as part of the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), and Swansea Arena facade.
Today Tryka’s mission to improve the built environment through exceptional design and product performance is reflected in its latest solutions and operations.
Kya Rolph, UK Operations Manager, comments, “This year, as part of our 20th-year celebrations and drive towards sustainable operations, we are introducing our first fully electric or hybrid fleet of company cars and localised our supply chain wherever possible.
