Timage 40th Anniversario

1978 – 2018

2018 marks another significant milestone for Timage as it celebrates its 40th Anniversary. Timage supply to the yacht industry with quality and beautiful design at the heart of every product that Timage sells and over its forty-year history this reputation has seen the business develop outside of the marine sector and into the field of architecture. Nowadays, the customer network is broad, ranging from super yacht yards to hotel, residential and office developments.

Italy is close to the heart of the company as it is where the story begins. In 1978 Giorgio Lanza established Lanza Fittings and began to import high quality marine fittings produced in and around his birthplace upon the shores of Lake Iseo in Lombardy. It is an area famous for its excellence in marine equipment and boat building for it is on this very lake that Riva Yachts developed its iconic wooden launches and built its reputation as one of the finest boat builders in the world.

The product range has been carefully selected over the years from a handpicked group of Italian suppliers who share the same values and attention to detail. And so, from humble beginnings stocking ship’s bells, the business has evolved into the blend of Italian style, glorious woodwork, deck fittings, beautiful fixings and fabrics embodying the Timage product range as we it know today.

In addition to a programme of continuous improvement for the range of marine fittings, Timage has also expanded into the construction, architectural and design industries. Marine grade components have become increasingly desirable for both their style and durability. The company is now a key supply partner of lighting, hardware, ironmongery, fabrics and soft furnishings to high end projects in the residential, hotel and restaurant sectors and is a regular exhibitor at design shows including 100% Design.

Summer 2017 marked an important step in the path to diversify the business and target the architectural and design industries with the launch of the first lighting brochure – hopefully the first of many publications dedicated to its domestic range. This coincided with the division of the website into architecture and marine products.

Over the years the logo has evolved with the business, from the unmistakable Lanza Fittings design to the modern ‘two nations’ flag.  This year, the special 40th logo has been created to commemorate the ‘anniversario’ and will be featured at exhibitions and in marketing.

To kick off a series of events throughout this special year, visitors to the London Boat Show stand enjoyed Italian hospitality first-hand at the Timage ‘T40 Espresso Bar’. Such an achievement could not be celebrated without a nod to the company’s Italian heritage.
