Braintree lighting company, Coco Lighting, has expanded and purchased new premises following a tailored funding package from HSBC UK.

The move into the new 30,000 sq. ft. site has seen the business consolidate into a larger site next to its previous location in Braintree. The new site provides Coco Lighting with more factory, office and storage space and has also enabled the company to open a new showroom. The move also means the growing company can now take on 20-30 new employees from the area.

Kevin Cooper, Managing Director at Coco Lighting, said:

“Thanks to the funding from HSBC UK we have been able to expand the business within the same location we have operated from for the last 15 years, which was really important to us and our customers.

“The purchase of the premises has not only enabled us to grow our space, but it has also given us an opportunity to grow our team and create a beautifully-designed showroom to showcase our products.”

David Skipp, HSBC UK’s Corporate Banking Area Director for Cambridge, Essex and Suffolk, said:

“Coco Lighting is well established in the lighting industry and continues to be an important employer in the local area. With ambitions to expand into the Middle East, we are truly excited to see what they do next and look forward to supporting them every step of the way.”

Established in 2000, Coco Lighting has been operating in Braintree for over a decade and provides an extensive range of lighting solutions including emergency lighting, product design, lighting design and many others.
