Conran by well-lit

The 25th October saw The Conran Shop celebrate the launch of its first ever in-house lightbulb collection. And not any old bulbs, but 15 exclusive lamps designed and made by well-lit.

Conran has hosted numerous instore events over its 44-year history but ‘Dark is the Night’ is the first to focus entirely on lighting. Overhead lighting in the store will be switched off for the evening, and guests will follow an atmospheric bulb and candlelit trail, accompanied by cocktails and light-inspired music, with the chance to attend a panel discussion chaired by design editor David Michon.

The evening also marked the launch of BEEM by Samuel Wilkinson – an extraordinary new brand also built around well-lit LED expertise. The two debut designs use new advances in LED technology to create amazing fluid forms that will emit bright, warm light for up to 10 years using minimal energy.

Conran were impressed with well-lit’s extensive product portfolio and knowledge of design and manufacturing – but perhaps most of all by their ability to make bespoke lamps to particular specifications.

‘Conran by well-lit’ includes flexible and non-flexible LED filaments, giving customers the choice of a warm and relaxing 2200K or a brighter 2600K for more functional use.

Alongside the event, The Conran Shop is offering customers up to 20% off selected lighting products until 29th October.

‘Dark is the Night’ is open to the public, and free to attend.
