The Lighting Industry Association has announced that its Board of Directors have selected Ayça Donaghy as the Association’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Ayça Donaghy will assume the new role on a full-time basis on 28th November 2022. Donaghy has more than 10 years of experience in the electrical distribution and lighting industries, during which time she’s held senior positions within Newbury Investment businesses and Lutron Electronics. She also recently received her Executive MBA from London Business School.

“After a comprehensive search process, the Board is pleased to have identified the best individual to assume leadership of this association as we enter a chapter of transformation,” said Matt Carpenter, President of the LIA. “Ayça is well-known in the electrical industry and has a track record of strategic agility, unwavering commitment, and exceeding expectations. This, combined with her deep industry knowledge, vision, and influential flair makes Ayça uniquely qualified to lead the LIA successfully into the future.”

A vital part of my job will be to accelerate our ability to engage our members in our activities. During my initial weeks in post, I look forward to personally interacting with members to conduct a comprehensive review of our transformation strategy and to ensure it aligns with their future requirements.”
