PLDC gains the official support of the City of Paris
PLDC 2017 will be held in Paris, France between 1st – 4th November 2017
Paris is known as the “City of Light” – it was one of the first cities to start using street lights during the Great Exhibition of 1889, when the Eiffel Tower was opened as the entrance to the World Fair. The City of Paris will be partnering specific PLDC activities, which include a design ideas competition and large-scale Cities Forum, the aim being to strengthen the development of public lighting in the future on a global scale.
PLD-i in Dubai/UAE – Ensure your participation in this interactive seminar!
PLD-i is an official warm-up event for PLDC 2017 in Paris. PLD-i stands for Professional Lighting Design interactive: a series of interactive workshop seminars designed for professionals and taught by professionals – knowledge transfer in the truest sense.
The seminar ‘Creativity through energy constraints’ will be held on 31st October, 2016 from 10am to 5pm on the occasion of Light Middle East in Dubai/UAE. The teaching team on site: Eleni Savvidou, UAE and Michael Grubb, UK.
The seminar will be held in English. There is still time to register here.
The Challenge – winners of Round II announced!
It was a tough decision for the coaches to select the best 18 from more than 50 filmed ‘elevator pitches’ entering The Challenge this year. The winners go on to Round III, a mini-conference and PLDC warm-up in London from 9th – 10th February, 2017.
The programme of the conference will be released shortly and registration will also open soon.
