The Aurora Group to unveil the next generation

The Aurora Group is set to make a significant impact at the world’s largest lighting exhibition by unveiling ‘Lighting 3.0’ for the first time on the European Mainland, along with previewing thirteen new products and launching two product catalogues.

Lighting 3.0, the culmination of more than 30 years’ experience, is the next generation connected solution that includes Internet of Things-ready luminaires, deployed as a result of Aurora’s partnership with Gooee, the IoT platform provider for lighting.

Neil Salt, Managing Director of Aurora’s IoT Division, said: “A series of new products will be previewed on our fully interactive stand, as well as a demonstration of ‘Gooee Inside’ which enables luminaires to intelligently transmit information (for example around human engagement or energy usage) direct to a delegate’s mobile device.”

Lighting 3.0 with ‘Gooee Inside’ enables Aurora to deploy an ecosystem of wirelessly connected lighting endpoints, interacting with each other to supply users with a tranche of data in three areas: Environmental Intelligence services; Human Engagement; and Product/ Asset Tracking.

“A connected ecosystem of devices will provide end users with an estimated 80 percent saving on energy consumed,” Salt continued, “which will have a dramatic impact on reducing costs and improving the environment. Lighting 3.0 and Gooee-Inside luminaires are a true step-change for the industry.”

Visitors to the Aurora stand and Light + Building will be able to draw on Aurora representatives to further explain the IoT in a lighting environment; and they can emphasise the benefits of new products such as the mPro, the next generation in LED downlighting. Products featuring ‘Gooee Inside’ are due to come out later this year, and will include flat panels, linears, high bays and downlights.

“These are exciting new products that include the very latest smart-technology, and we are exhibiting them for the first time on the European mainland,” explained Richard Sells, Aurora Group’s Managing Director. “With a passion for smart-lighting, we are looking forward to explaining the IoT’s benefits to delegates as they visit our stand.”

In addition to the launch, Aurora will also be releasing two new brochures – Aurora: Lighting 2016 Edition Two and EnLite V4 – which together include over 350 new products.

“The lighting industry is developing and moving forward at a rapid pace,” Sells continued, “We are at the very forefront of innovations setting an example to the industry that smart-lighting creates value beyond illumination.”
