TCP Lighting makes two senior appointments

Technical Consumer Products (TCP) has made two senior appointments as part of its European expansion plans.

The US-based supplier and manufacturer of compact fluorescent (CFL), halogen and LED light bulbs, has appointed Sven Mermans as its managing director in southern Europe and Maud Perchenet as its business development manager for France.

Sven Mermans joins TCP from Philips where, as General Manager for the last seven years, he was in charge of several start-up and business integration projects in Ireland, the UK and Russia. Sven has also held senior management positions in sales and marketing roles in the lighting industry.

As the new managing director of TCP’s southern European operation, Sven, who will be based in Paris, France, will be responsible for putting in place a new organisation and building market share for TCP in France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece.

Another appointment for TCP’s European operation is Maud Perchenet, who becomes business development manager for France. With over a decade of experience in the lighting industry, Maud has held roles such as Business Development and General Management for major companies, including Philips Lighting and Traxon Technologies, an Osram Company.

Operating from the Paris, France office, Maud will work with the TCP team to establish and develop a broad customer base across the country.

The European appointments follow the recent recruitment of Vic Harasimow, who became the UK based national sales manager for TCP, taking responsibility for not only growing new business and market share in the UK, but also in the Nordic region.
