Sir Howard Davies shines some light on the Financial Crisis

For the 36th Annual Charles Marques Memorial Lecture, the Institution of Lighting Professionals are delighted to welcome Sir Howard Davies, erstwhile head of The London School Economics and a former head of the FSA to give his views on the financial crisis.
The prestigious Charles Marques Memorial Lecture will be held at the Royal Institution on 4th July 2012, to perpetuate the memory of Charles Albert Marques (1896-1967) who founded Concrete Utilities Ltd (now known as CU Phosco Lighting) which moulded the first concrete lighting columns in Europe. This resulted in the company being awarded the Queens Award for Export for manufacturing very tall steel lighting masts often seen at airports, docks and other large facilities around the world.
The lecture draws in an audience of around 300 people, made up of members of the ILP, professionals from other institutions and VIP guests and has been very popular for over 35 years. The lecture allows attendees to attend an inspirational experience where they can develop ideas on non lighting related topics.
Booking is open for this event on the ILP website, and members and non members of the ILP can attend at no charge.
