science.duel.life Organizes YouTube Contest to Celebrate the International Year of Light
Starting from Summer 2015, science.duel.life invites you to celebrate the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies by participating in a YouTube video contest. Together, we discover the different roles that light plays in our scientific lives and what it reveals about the nature of the universe.
Your favourite YouTube videos on all subjects of light and light technology and for all ages are welcome for consideration for one of the following categories: Daily Life; Science Fiction; Scientific Instrumentation; Tutorial.
Light is one of the most essential nature phenomena in both our daily and scientific life. The Nobel Prizes for Physics and Chemistry 2014 were awarded for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy and for the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes. Not only the Nobel committee but also YouTube plays an important role for distributing scientific knowledge to a broad audience. To connect researchers all over the globe, science.duel.life shares a variety of information of those technologies and media content.
The video contest is open from August for submissions and ends on December 31, 2015. The best YouTube videos will be chosen by our audience, including scientists as well as other interested people. For more information on the submission process please visit the video contest website.
