New Lighting Association Lab Scheme

The NEW Lighting Association Lab Verified Scheme will independently measure and verify the safety and performance of lighting products such as lamps, LED modules and luminaires against manufacturer’s claims. The results are uploaded onto a publically accessible website, where the actual test results are published.

 

This scheme is developed and managed by the Lighting Association Laboratories a worldwide respected, UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Companies can commission the Lightign Association to performance verify product. “Verified Products” can carry the relevant logo and will be listed on a publicly available website www.Lalabverified.com

 

Examples of parameters which will be verified are:

  • Safety
  • Total Lumen Output.
  • CCT and Ra
  • Power (circuit watts) consumed
  • Efficacy
  • Centre beam intensity
  • Beam Angle
  • Life and Lumen maintenance

 

End users, lighting professionals, consumers and competitors will be able to easily identify those products that meet their manufacturer’s claims.

To support manufacturers of products that do meet their claims, this scheme will undertake market surveillance and those products making false claims will be revealed at www.Lalabverified.com Verified products will be randomly purchased and tested to ensure continued compliance.
