Netherlands plans independent global lighting centre

The Lighting Business Center (LBC) in The Netherlands will provide a permanent, independent presentation of lighting products allowing designers, architects and installers around the world to find and view lighting products suitable for their projects.

The LBC, expected to open in early 2012, will display the lighting products of approximately 100 manufacturers allowing visitors to view, examine and test fittings in a relaxed atmosphere.

Using computer-operated control panels, visitors will be able to see demonstrations or operate lights while a linked  system will provide product information and allow them to contact manufacturers directly.

Regular Spotting Days will be held to allow manufacturers and lighting professionals to meet,  catch up on news and exchange knowledge.

Conferences, demonstrations, seminars, workshops, training days and lectures by manufacturers or interest groups will also be held .

The Lighting Business Center aims to be a centre of expertise which will contribute to the professionalism of the lighting industry.
