At Lighting + Building 2016, Helvar will be previewing its advanced stand-alone lighting control system ActiveAhead, which combines sensor technology with an algorithm that continuously learns about motion patters to provide appropriate lighting conditions in commercial buildings.

ActiveAhead’s patent applications pending algorithm learns e.g. the motion of people in their environment through sensors integrated into luminaires, detecting both presence and ambient light. It then uses this information to predict where people will be going in order to provide the appropriate lighting conditions.

The modular ActiveAhead solution has been designed with the future in mind: it can be integrated with cloud services and wired DALI control systems through gateways. Security is essential in the smart building environment, and ActiveAhead has a comprehensive set of security protocols to keep the system safe and operating effectively.

By bringing the worlds of IT and lighting together, Helvar has created a genuinely smart lighting solution that provides optimal lighting for end users while saving energy.

Be the first to see ACTIVEAHEAD at Light + Building, where Helvar will be previewing its offering in Hall 4.0 Stand B30 of at Frankfurt am Main on 13-18 March 2016.
