FEGIME APPOINTS AURORA GROUP AS A PREFERRED SUPPLIER IN EUROPE
The FEGIME Group, the European-wide collaboration of 230 electrical wholesalers, has added the Aurora Group, global manufacturer of energy saving LED lighting solutions, as a preferred supplier of Lighting products in Europe.
The announcement, made at the world’s largest lighting trade exhibition, will see Aurora Group products being made available to thousands of electrical contractors across Europe via FEGIME’s 1,150 sales points and presence in 27 countries. FEGIME currently has a 10% share of the European electrical market.
David Garratt, Managing Director of FEGIME, says: “Currently the lighting business is in a state of constant change. Consequently, it is important for FEGIME to have a wider range of partners to better exploit the opportunities arising. We regard Aurora as a highly innovative, motivated, flexible and distribution-oriented partner.
“We are happy to welcome them as European Preferred Supplier to the FEGIME Family.”
Richard Sells, Managing Director of the Aurora Group, says the announcement supports the company’s ambitions to be a global leader: “Working alongside FEGIME’s members enables us to access a significant share of the Electrical Wholesale market in Europe, so this is an opportunity we are extremely excited about,” he says.
“The preferred status also significantly adds to the Aurora Group’s reputation and standing as one of the World’s leading lighting companies, as it creates value beyond illumination for an ever-increasing number of contractors and end users.”
Richard believes that Enlite, the Aurora Group’s core trade offering, will prove especially popular: “Enlite is a range of low-cost, high-performance lighting products designed to ensure trouble-free installation and maintenance – two key attributes that are important to both wholesalers and contractors alike.
“We have seen substantial growth in recent months, something that will continue as we seek to extend the range of products available under the Enlite brand.”
