EMFA Graduates From The Marathon To Decathlon This Summer

Available exclusively in the UK through RIDI Lighting, the new EMFA Decathlon is a high-output LED downlight for both indoor and outdoor settings. The luminaire is ideal for applications requiring good quality halogen-like output from a single source, and the high colour rendition and wide selection lenses and reflectors make it particularly suitable for museums, retail spaces, corridors, balconies, hotels and hospital projects. This combines with innovative thermal management to ensure the long life time of LED light source is preserved.
“Decathlon builds on the momentum we generated with the release last year of the Marathon fitting,” says Mike Attard, Managing Director at RIDI UK. “The market has recognised that the materials, build quality and performance of the EMFA products really set them apart in the outdoor lighting market. Decathlon offers the high performance and energy efficiency of an LED light source in robust housing that ensures it is hugely versatile.”
The Decathlon comprises a wider and deeper profile than the Marathon fitting and the high colour rendition of 90, selection of colour temperatures, degree reflectors and lenses ensure its suitability for a wide variety of lighting scenarios. The shallow depth of the aluminium housing allows for installation into most ceilings and Decathlon is fitted with non-dimmable drivers as standard (1/10V dimmable and DALI drivers available on request).
An ample heat sink is provided to allow for the projected lifespan of the CREE LEDs (50,000 hours) and the thermal management of the fitting is designed to withstand an ambient temperature of 50°C, making it more than suitable for use Europe-wide.
The die cast aluminium IP65 body is available in a range of RAL colour and also gold or chrome upon request. Each of EMFA’s fitting are designed and constructed in-house, are all subject to the highest levels of quality control and the product is designed to withstand IK10 destruction. The wide body of the Decathlon acts as a giant heat sink and has been crafted around the LED boards to realise their full lifespan.
EMFA’s European production facility also allows for increased customisation to suit the requirements of individual projects across the region. This includes a combination of 4 standard paint colours, 3 white tones, 3 wattages (9, 13 and 19) and a selection of lenses. All this is achieved without increasing lead-times and is available for both large and small quantities. The luminaire is joined by Decathalon 3 and 4 versions for different applications.
