Decorex Launches New 2012 Social Media Campaign #Decorex100

Decorex International has announced the launch of #DECOREX100, an exciting social media campaign to identify the top 100 Twitter users in the interior design industry.

The #DECOREX100 campaign will launch on 23 July 2012 and will run for three weeks on Twitter and Decorex’s newly designed website (www.decorex.com/decorex100), with entries closing at midday on 10 August 2012.  Twitter users within the interior design industry will be encouraged to nominate their favourite interior design Tweeters whose interesting, influential or entertaining tweets of 140 characters or less are eagerly read.  All they have to do is to simply tweet the following:

“I’m nominating @twitterhandle for the #DECOREX100 list of top 100 influential interior design Twitter accounts. http://bit.ly/DECOREX100and insert the Twitter handle of the nominated account in the space of @twitterhandle.

The campaign is open to all interior design orientated Twitter accounts and is the first of its kind launched for the interior design industry.  The final #DECOREX100 list of top 100 interior design Twitter influencers will be announced on 13 August 2012 on the Decorex website.  This campaign takes place in the run up to Decorex International (23-26 September 2012), and follows on from the successful ‘Decorex Loves Bloggers campaign’ that took place in 2011 and was the finalist of this year’s AEO Excellence Awards.

During the campaign, all the nominated entries will be able to see and compare their PeerIndex scores, measuring the accounts’ online influence.

The final #DECOREX100 list, of the industry’s most powerful Twitter voices will be curated by the Decorex team and the top 100 accounts will be unveiled on 13 August 2012.

Simone du Bois, Decorex Brand Manager expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign:
“#DECOREX100 is a fascinating new digital project Decorex International, which promotes the best of the interior design online community. The UK Twittersphere is filled with interior design professionals who provide advice, share the news, exchange opinions and most importantly, stay abreast of all the latest in the interiors industry.  Among these professionals, there are particular individuals and brands worth following – for their expertise, knowledge and eye for new trends. The #DECOREX100 list aims to do just that – identify the top 100 influential interior design Tweeters and list them in one place, accessible to the whole interior design online community. I look forward to seeing the results!”
