CP’s D-Mate Brings Sophisticated Lighting Control to Small and Medium Applications

D-Mate from CP Electronics is a lighting control system that brings a high level of functionality to small and medium scale applications at an affordable price. As such, it enables sophisticated lighting control to be introduced from offices and meeting areas to restaurants, hotel rooms and other applications where more costly systems would not be viable.

Built around the versatile DALI protocol, D-Mate offers a range of easy-to-use features including four independently dimmable lighting circuits for scene setting,

presence/absence detection and maintained illuminance.

A key feature of the D-Mate system is the use of Addressers for each circuit, making it very easy to address the system using scene plates, input units or infra-red handsets, This results in simple operation of scene setting and other functions so that users can take full advantage of D-Mate’s functionality.

System design and installation is also simple as devices within the D-Mate system communicate via a simple two-wire data bus. Where multiple devices are used on the same circuit, one device acts as master and is responsible for sending control messages to the Addressers. The master device also stores the levels for each scene for the slave circuits it controls.
