Abacus Appoints New Regional Sales Director for the Middle East

World leaders in lighting, Abacus has appointed Wisam Yaghmour as their new Regional Sales Director of Abacus for the Middle East, effective immediately.

The lighting firm, which designs, manufactures and installs and maintains exterior lighting schemes ranging from road schemes, retail, airports and major sports grounds have been working in the Middle East for over 30 years. 

The region has proved to be a significant success story for Abacus, providing a substantial number of important clients and contracts for the company. Projects have included lighting the world famous Nad Al Sheeba Race Track, supplying the masts and floodlighting for Al Shamal sports stadium in Qatar, the Nick Faldo course at the prestigious Emirates Golf Club Dubai and the Emirates Dubai Rugby Sevens stadium. 
In his new role, Wisam will be responsible for leading the continued growth of international sales within this region. Wisam joins Abacus with strong senior executive management experience, having worked at the highest levels in the security industry in the Middle East; most recently working for Honeywell Security, where he was responsible for setting up United Arab Emirates base and successfully leading their sales teams. 

Prior to this, Wisam held a number of senior sales positions in technology companies in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Canada. His academic qualifications include a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Eastern Mediterranean University of Cyprus.
